Swansea’s Shelvey Charged With Violent Conduct

Swansea’s Shelvey Charged With Violent Conduct Swansea City midfielder Jonjo Shelvey has been charged with violent conduct by the English Football Association (FA) following an incident during Monday night’s defeat at Liverpool. The incident was not seen by the match officials but match footage was later assessed by the video review panel. The Englishman appeared to fling back an arm into the face of the German defender during the Swans’ 4-1 defeat at Anfield. Shelvey, 22, has until 18:00 GMT on Wednesday to respond to the charge and faces a four-game ban, beginning with the Welsh outfit’s game at Queens Park Rangers on New Year’s Day.
